We Are a Youth-Driven, Non-Partisan Development Platform

Lavun Youth Congress (LYC) was formed in 2016 as a united voice for youths across Lavun Local Government Area, Niger State. The goal is simple: strengthen youth participation in governance, improve coordination across communities, and drive development through advocacy, mentorship, and empowerment.

LYC operates as a community-first platform focused on peace, accountability, and practical opportunities for young people. Every program is built to connect youths, amplify their concerns responsibly, and work with stakeholders to deliver long-term impact across Lavun.

We Are a Strong Team Across Wards

LYC is powered by committed youth leaders, ward coordinators, volunteers, and community stakeholders who believe in service. Our strength comes from collaboration, shared purpose, and the willingness to show up for Lavun, even when resources are limited.

From youth town halls to peace advocacy, mentorship, and capacity-building, the team works to ensure youths are informed, represented, and equipped to contribute to community development. The next phase is focused on stronger systems, a clear roadmap (2026–2036), and sustainable programs that scale.
