The LYC 10-Year Strategic Roadmap (2026–2036) is our long-term plan for youth leadership, empowerment, peacebuilding, education, and institutional growth across Lavun Local Government Area. It outlines key priorities, timelines, and measurable actions to guide our work over the next decade and strengthen community development through youth participation.
Milestone 1: Roadmap Launch and Public Presentation (10th Anniversary)
We officially unveil the LYC 10-Year Strategic Roadmap (2026–2036), share the strategic pillars, implementation phases, and expected outcomes, and open opportunities for partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to support delivery across Lavun Local Government Area.
Milestone 2: Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Drive
LYC begins structured engagement with the Local Government, traditional and community leaders, civil society groups, and development partners to align priorities, strengthen collaboration, and mobilize support for roadmap implementation.
Milestone 3: Youth Leadership and Civic Participation Program Kickoff
We roll out youth forums, town halls, mentorship activities, and civic engagement initiatives to increase youth participation in governance, promote accountability, and strengthen community dialogue across wards.
Milestone 4: Skills Acquisition and Economic Empowerment Rollout
Implementation begins for practical skills acquisition, entrepreneurship support, and partner-led capacity building to improve employability, self-reliance, and income opportunities for youths across Lavun.
Milestone 5: Peacebuilding and Community Development Expansion
LYC strengthens peace advocacy, conflict resolution support, and community development initiatives to promote unity, social cohesion, and peaceful coexistence across ethnic, religious, and political lines.
Milestone 6: Education and Digital Inclusion Support
We scale education-focused programs and digital inclusion initiatives that support learning outcomes, mentorship, and access to opportunities, helping youths become more prepared for the future.
Milestone 7: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Annual Progress Review
LYC conducts annual reviews to measure progress, strengthen accountability, publish updates, and improve implementation based on evidence, lessons learned, and community feedback.
